End User License Agreement (EULA)

PgFlow-ai, including its PgFlow-ai Profiler extension, source code, documentation, images and installers (the “Software”), is the property of CandorLight LLC (“CandorLight”) and is protected by copyright law and international treaties. The Software is licensed, not sold. By installing or using the Software you agree to this agreement.

1. Definitions

Named user: the one natural person to whom a license or seat is assigned.
Computer: a physical or virtual machine with its own machine ID, as shown under Help ▸ License. Each virtual machine, container host or remote desktop session host counts as a separate computer.
Activation: one computer on which a license is currently activated.
Version 1.x: every release of the Software whose version number starts with 1.

2. License grant

Subject to this agreement, CandorLight grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the Software for personal or commercial purposes, including work for your employer and your clients, within the limits of the license you obtained:

Trial license: use of every feature on one computer for 14 days from the day the trial starts, for evaluation only. One trial per computer.
Pro license: a perpetual license for one named user, who may use the Software on up to two computers at the same time. A Pro license may not be shared by, or used in turn by, different people.
Team license: a perpetual license for the number of named users and activations stated in your order (for the Team 5-pack: five named users and ten activations in total). The seats belong to the organization that bought them, which assigns each seat to one named user and may reassign a seat when that person leaves or permanently changes role. Seats are not floating or concurrent licenses.

A perpetual license does not expire. It covers every Version 1.x; a later major version does not end your right to use Version 1.x. You may move an activation to another computer by releasing the previous one, as described in the documentation; after you release a computer you must stop using the Software on it. You may make copies of the installers for backup.

3. License keys

The Software requires a license key, which is locked to the computer it was issued for and verified offline. You may not share, publish or modify license keys or activation codes, or circumvent the license check. Starting a trial or activating online sends the computer's machine ID, the app version and operating system name to CandorLight, as described in the privacy policy.

4. Restrictions

You may not, except where applicable law expressly permits it:

copy, modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works of the Software;
sell, rent, lease, sublicense, distribute or otherwise transfer the Software to a third party, or provide it as a hosted service;
reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the Software;
remove or alter any copyright, trademark or other proprietary notice in the Software.

5. Ownership

CandorLight and its licensors keep all right, title and interest in the Software, including all intellectual property rights. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

6. Third-party components and services

The Software includes third-party components (for example Python, Electron (Chromium and Node.js), Vue, Element Plus, CodeMirror, psycopg and libpq) that are licensed to you under their own license terms, which are included with those components. Nothing in this agreement limits your rights under them.

Optional features such as the AI Advisor connect to third-party services that you choose and configure, under your own agreement with that provider. CandorLight is not responsible for those services.

7. Purchases and refunds

Licenses are sold by CandorLight LLC; payments are processed by Stripe, which issues the receipt and invoice. Purchases are covered by our 30-day refund policy. A refunded license is revoked.

8. No warranty

THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED “AS IS”, WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

9. Limitation of liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL CANDORLIGHT BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE, INCLUDING ANY LOSS OF DATA CAUSED BY STATEMENTS EXECUTED OR REPLAYED AGAINST A DATABASE.

10. Termination

This license ends automatically if you do not comply with it. On termination you must stop using the Software and delete all copies.
